Stupidity....

So I took this awesome picture of a bird in a tree's silhouette.
I was gonna put it up on my blog.
But when I tried uploading my pictures, it wanted to put all 700 pictures on my memory card on there, which all but 8 were already on the computer.
So I thought I'd be smart and lock the pictures I wanted to keep and format the card.
Stupid...
It erased EVERYTHING.
So I lost that way awesome picture, and some other ones that I took.
And all fetchin 700 pictures on that stupid card.
I hate stupidity.
Gah!

I'm Wishing...

I'm wishing I could sing like Snow White. Bahaha Not.
I'm wishing I could post pictures, that'd be nice. If I could post pictures, I'd put this one picture up, it's of the biggest update in my life.
It's a Billy.
He's kind of the most amazing person ever.
I love him.
And he's all mine :)

This is gonna be one of those cheesy posts, just to forewarn you. Last night I was chatting with my sisters til the wee hours of the morning, and they asked me why I hadn't posted anything about him. I said it was because I couldn't put any pictures up, then I realized that was a lame excuse, so I decided to post something. Yesterday was also our 2 month anniversary. That doesn't seem like a long time, but so much has happened in that short span of time, that it feels like 2 years.

Well, I'm not gonna go into any more detail, because, well, I don't need a reason :P

But now you know, if you didn't already, the real reason I haven't been posting very much ;)

So I've been kind of busy lately, so I haven't blogged for a while...

Isn't it funny how you always know that things happen for a reason. But when bad things happen, you are still sad, and when the good things happen you finally look back at the bad things and realize that they were good, just not at the time. If that even makes any sense...
Life is just great. But it is hard. I think everything in my life is trying to teach me patience. Not a fun lesson to learn... But I guess you should learn it eventually.
I heard this saying a couple days ago-- "A wedding ring is something that you'll wear that will always keep you warm." I thought it was cute ;)

I had institute last night and in this class we're studying Teachings of the Living Prophets. We go through a conference talk that was given by an apostle every week. Yesterday we studied Elder Richard G. Scott's talk. My teacher, Bro Perry, had this quote from a different talk by Elder Scott-- "To exercise faith is to trust that the Lord knows what He is doing with you and that He can accomplish it for your eternal good even though you cannot understand how He can possibly do it. We are like infants in our understanding of eternal matters and their impact on us here in mortality. Yet at times we act as if we knew it all. When you pass through trials for His purposes, as you trust Him, exercise faith in Him, He will help you. That support will generally come step by step, a portion at a time. While you are passing through each phase, the pain and difficulty that come from being enlarged will continue. If all matters were immediately resolved at your first petition, you could not grow. Your Father in Heaven and His Beloved Son love you perfectly. They would not require you to experience a moment more of difficulty than is absolutely needed for your personal benefit or for that of those you love."

Bro Perry knew I wanted this quote before I did.
It reminds me of the story that talks about you being a house and needing a repair. So the 'repair man' comes and starts fixing you up, and he keeps going, and its painful and long, but in the end, He rebuilds you into a mansion. It's a comforting thought to know that we can just live righteously and God will take care of us and when we put our faith in Him, He won't let us down, He'll make sure that we get the repairs we need.

If this post doesn't really make any sense, it's because I started writing it a week ago, and finished it today. And I'm just scatterbrained normally.

There's another talk by Elder Scott called 'Using the Supernal Gift of Prayer'. I've been told its a great talk if you want to know all the possible ways to get an answer to a prayer. So here's the link! Hope you enjoy it.

2011

I figured I should post something about the new year...

It's already 20 times more amazing then 2010. I'm excited for the new year. I'm not going to make any new year's resolutions, only because I know I'll forget them in a week. But I am going to keep the goals I made these last couple months in mind and be working to better myself. I guess they're kind of like new years resolutions, but I don't want to call them that, just because everyone else does... Anyway, this year is already amazing because I'm working at Plato's Closet, which is awesome, I just got a second job at Alpine Credit Union (which means I'll be able to get my camera sooner!!!) I'm in the Relief Society Presidency, which can be hard but is way worth it, and Institute is starting up again. There's some other things, but I don't want to go into boring details ;)

Oh, and I'm turning 21! Which, in my mind, means that I'll either be going on a mission at the end of the year, or getting married (pff, most likely not) We'll see what happens... :)

P.S. I'd put a picture up from New Year's, but I still can't put any pictures on, even though I erased 90% of my pictures....
Oh well, Happy New Year!

Ding Dong, Ding Dong!

Wake up! Christmas is here!
That's what I'm telling myself, because for some reason this year has been hard for me to realize that it's Christmas. I guess it takes the realization of my birthday coming up to realize it's also Christmas.. (Which to tell you the truth, still hasn't hit me yet) It would probably be a good idea for it to hit me soon, seeing as I have absolutely NONE of my gifts ready yet, and Christmas is in 5 days.... We'll see how that goes...
Today for sacrament meeting, we did our 'Christmas program' I thought it went really well, seeing how practically everyone was sick... Christmas songs are my favorite. They're just so pretty and they bring such a great spirit. Well our Relief Society president spoke today, and in her talk she told this story. The copy I found came from a talk by James E. Faust called 'The Atonement: Our Greatest Hope'.
It's a great story, every time I hear it, I get a little (or a lot) teary eyed. You've probably heard it before, but I figured I would share it anyway.

Some years ago, President Gordon B. Hinckley told “something of a parable” about “a one room school house in the mountains of Virginia where the boys were so rough no teacher had been able to handle them.
“Then one day an inexperienced young teacher applied. He was told that every teacher had received an awful beating, but the teacher accepted the risk. The first day of school the teacher asked the boys to establish their own rules and the penalty for breaking the rules. The class came up with 10 rules, which were written on the blackboard. Then the teacher asked, ‘What shall we do with one who breaks the rules?’
“‘Beat him across the back ten times without his coat on,’ came the response.
“A day or so later, … the lunch of a big student, named Tom, was stolen. ‘The thief was located—a little hungry fellow, about ten years old.’
“As Little Jim came up to take his licking, he pleaded to keep his coat on. ‘Take your coat off,’ the teacher said. ‘You helped make the rules!’
“The boy took off the coat. He had no shirt and revealed a bony little crippled body. As the teacher hesitated with the rod, Big Tom jumped to his feet and volunteered to take the boy’s licking.
“‘Very well, there is a certain law that one can become a substitute for another. Are you all agreed?’ the teacher asked.
“After five strokes across Tom’s back, the rod broke. The class was sobbing. ‘Little Jim had reached up and caught Tom with both arms around his neck. “Tom, I’m sorry that I stole your lunch, but I was awful hungry. Tom, I will love you till I die for taking my licking for me! Yes, I will love you forever!”’

Doesn't that story just hit you? I love how Christmas is not only a time to remember hope and giving and peace, but also to remember the Atonement and everything Christ went through for us.

Christmas time is so.. I don't even have a good enough word to describe it. I love everything about it. I went with a couple friends the other day up to temple square. I love going up there, it's so beautiful and lovely. We had a blast, even though it was cold and the gas station ran out of hot chocolate... Don't you love those times when you come away with so many of those little inside jokes? Baha. Meagan took some pictures, so hopefully she gets those up soon... ;)

Well I hope everyone has a great Christmas and a great break from school and work and whatever you get a break from :)

Merry Christmas!!!

Final Decision

Ok, I know these posts are probably annoying, but it's for my own sanity.
I've decided (with the help of my wonderful aunt) that I'm not going to pay for more space or a new blog, I'm going to use tumblr.
What is tumblr you ask? Why it is a website where you create a blog, and it's great for photography.
So I created one, if you're interested, the address is jracrossyourheart.tumblr.com.
I've only gotten one post up, but don't fret, there will be more--hopefully with my new camera!!--
But, just thought I'd get that out there.

Family Pictures..../ Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, I was going to try and put a couple of the family pictures we took up, but I forgot, I have no storage space.. I also took my two aunts and their families pictures. They all turned out way cute, but you can't see because I have no space left.. So then I was thinking, I'm going to buy a new camera, (I'm going to buy a nice professional Nikon D3000 camera) and take a lot more pictures, so I might as well check out this deal they have for more storage space. So now I'm tempted to pay for more storage space, which is only $5 a year... We'll see what happens. But once I figure it all out, I'll put up all the family pictures and also my fall pictures that I haven't gotten up yet, don't fret.

P.S. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! And Happy Black Friday. I'm now too tired to write about our ADVENTURES, so if you're really curious, you can read a little about them on Jenna's blog... http://jenna-togetnowherefollowthecrowd.blogspot.com/  Which is super cute by the way.

Now onto Christmas music and decking the halls!
